Is your Nest doorbell pointing at the wall, the fence or next door instead of whoever is at your door? This wedge fixes it in a couple of minutes. You don't need a new doorbell and you don't need to re-wire anything.
Nest Hello / Nest Doorbell (Wired, 1st Gen), Nest Doorbell (Battery), Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen) and the new Nest Doorbell (Wired, 3rd Gen, 2K).
Model numbers: NC5100, GWX3T, GA01318, G28DR, GA02767, GA09967.
It's universal by design, so on some doorbells (the smaller Nest Hello especially) it may sit a little taller or wider than the doorbell itself. That's normal for a part made to fit many models and doesn't affect how securely it holds. It also fits Eufy, Blink, Arlo, Aosu, Reolink, Tapo and other slim doorbells, so keep it if you ever switch brand.
Wired doorbell? The wedge has easy-to-cut cable tabs so the wire runs through neatly.
It's 3D-printed in heavy-duty, UV-stable PETG plastic, so it won't yellow or crack in summer sun. PETG won't corrode, and unlike a metal mount it won't get between your doorbell and its wireless signal. All the screws and washers are stainless steel.
About the washers: on some doorbells the plate's screw holes are a little too big, so the screw head pulls straight through. Put a washer under the head and it will hold. Many doorbells have no room for a washer, so only use them if yours needs them.
Not included: the doorbell and its original back plate. The wedge changes how your doorbell fixes to the wall.
Is this a 45 degree wedge for a Nest doorbell?
Yes, and more. It adjusts from 25° to 55°, so 45° is one setting. You can also set 30°, or anything in between.
Can I mount my Nest doorbell in a corner?
Yes. Set the wedge to 45° and the doorbell points straight out from the middle of a 90° corner.
Does it fit the Nest Doorbell Battery, Wired 2nd Gen and the new Wired 3rd Gen?
Yes. It fits every Google Nest video doorbell, including the original Nest Hello.
Can I fit it without drilling?
Yes. Use the 3M VHB pad in the box on a smooth, clean surface such as uPVC, glass, tile or painted wood. On brick or render, use the screws.
Does it tilt the doorbell up or down?
No. It turns the doorbell left or right only, so it faces your path or door instead of the wall.
Do I still need my Nest back plate?
Yes. Your Nest plate screws onto the front of the wedge with the small screws in the box, and the doorbell fits on as normal.
Does it work on a wired Nest doorbell?
Yes. Cut the cable tab and the wire runs through the wedge.
Will a plastic mount affect the doorbell's WiFi?
No. That's one reason we use PETG plastic rather than metal.
3D-printed by Mars Outpost, our family business in Bristol, UK, and dispatched from our Bristol workshop. Small surface marks are a normal part of 3D printing and don't affect how it works.
