The center is framed by a pavé halo and set along the shoulders and gallery with 104 round brilliant diamonds, for approximately 2.28 carats total weight across 105 diamonds per IGI. Size 5. The cushion diamond, measuring 6.54 by 6.30 by 4.24mm, is graded Excellent for both precision of cut and polish, with very good symmetry and faint fluorescence, and the D color the highest color on the grading scale , is fully colorless in the platinum mount. It sits within a milgrain-edged halo of pavé diamonds, and the shoulders are set with two 2.80mm round brilliants followed by graduated diamonds descending the shank, noticeably larger than the side stones of the standard Legacy design. That substantial diamond line gives the ring unusual presence across the finger and a continuous brilliance from center to shank. Pavé continues along the gallery and the sides of the mount, finished throughout with fine milgrain detail.

The Legacy collection is Tiffany's interpretation of antique-inspired bridal design, pairing the cushion cut, long associated with Edwardian and early twentieth-century jewelry, with a diamond halo and hand-finished milgrain. Every Legacy center stone is graded and registered by Tiffany, laser inscribed, and documented with a Tiffany Diamond Certificate. This example, purchased from Tiffany's Fifth Avenue flagship in 2007, is a less common variation with larger graduated side diamonds than the collection's typical configuration.
