The diamond measures 6.65 by 6.57 by 4.98mm, an almost perfectly square outline, and is graded Excellent for polish and Very Good for symmetry, with no fluorescence. The

Lucida cut combines a step-cut crown with a brilliant-cut pavilion: broad, clean facets above for clarity of line, and a starburst of facets below that return light with strong scintillation. The diamond sits high in four rounded platinum prongs on Tiffany's signature Lucida mounting, its open sides letting light reach the stone from every angle. The band widens gradually toward the setting, giving the diamond a strong, architectural frame.

Tiffany introduced the Lucida cut in 1999 as one of the house's own patented diamond cuts, and for nearly two decades it anchored a collection of engagement rings prized for crisp, modern geometry. The cut has since been discontinued, making Lucida diamonds of this size increasingly scarce on the secondary market. The diamond carries two Tiffany laser inscriptions, one on the upper girdle facet of the crown and one on the girdle itself, along with a GIA inscription. Tiffany began inscribing the crown around 2004, which dates this ring to that year or later, and the recent GIA report independently confirms its grades.
