I did test it with 4 AA batteries (Batteries Not Included) and here's what happened.  I was able to receive some local AM stations.  I was able to receive a French speaking station when I had it switched to the BEACON band.  I was able to receive one station when switched to the MARINE band.  The DF Level Meter appeared to be working okay.  I didn't test anything else.  Being sold in AS-IS condition with no returns, so please see all seventeen photos and the video and be sure to contact me with any questions.  Will be double-boxed for safe shipping. Thanks for looking.
