Vintage Soviet space rocket night light, a monument to the Soviet space era, "Vostok," in working condition

Authentic collectible from the USSR Soviet space age.

Up for sale is this legendary vintage "Raketa" night light (also known as "Vostok"), produced in the USSR in the 1960s and 1970s. This iconic night / lamp is a stylized miniature replica of the famous "Conquerors of Space" monument in Moscow, dedicated to the triumphs of the Soviet space program and the era of Yuri Gagarin.

Design and Materials:

Top: The hovering rocket and rocket trail (about 7” tall) is crafted from translucent plexiglass that glows warmly orange/red when turned on.

Base: Durable black plastic base with a classic mid-century modern silhouette. Base is about 7” x 3”.

A beautiful example of space age design that looks stunning in any retro or modern interior.

The lamp is fully functional (see photos with the light on). Powered by 110volts, standard USA plug.
