Description:
An elegant and striking Mid-Century Modern ice bucket/wine cooler crafted in Italy during the 1960s. This piece beautifully captures the high-end Hollywood Regency aesthetic of the era, heavily drawing inspiration from the iconic lacquered designs of Aldo Tura.
The cooler features a tapered cylindrical body wrapped in a vibrant, richly textured crimson red textured casing. It is beautifully framed by heavy polished brass trim at the rim and base. The domed brass lid is topped with a finely turned solid wood knob, perfectly matching the central wooden grip of the arched brass swing handle.
The underside of the base is cleanly stamped with its verified origin: "MADE IN ITALY". An exceptional addition to any retro bar cart or mid-century design collection.
Condition Report:
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The brass retains a beautiful, bright luster with minor surface faint scratches and character patina. The red textured body is intact with good color retention. Internal thermal liner is clean and fully functional.
