Lot of 4 vintage Soviet collector plates featuring elaborate Russian fairy-tale scenes based on traditional Palekh and Kholuy miniature painting.
Each plate features a different composition by a different Soviet artist. The plates have black backgrounds with richly detailed multicolor scenes and ornate gold decoration. The backs contain extensive original Russian factory inscriptions, individual issue numbers, artist information, Bradex numbers, and production details.
The lot includes:
1. “Ruslan and Ludmila” — 1988 Artist: Gleb Lyubimov Based on the poem by Alexander Pushkin Palekh miniature style Bradex No. 60-V25-1.1 Individual plate number: У 1494 First plate in the “Russian Fairy Tales” collector series. Produced at the Vinogradov Porcelain Factory, USSR. The back states that natural gold was used and that the edition was limited to a firing period of 195 days. 2. “The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights” — 1988 Artist: Alexander Kovalev Based on the poem by Alexander Pushkin Palekh miniature style Bradex No. 60-V25-1.2 Individual plate number: Н 5912 Second plate in the “Russian Fairy Tales” collector series. The back states that natural gold was used and that the edition was limited to a firing period of 195 days. 4. “The Snow Maiden” — 1990 Artist: Anatoly Kamorin Traditional Russian fairy-tale subject Kholuy miniature style Bradex No. 60-K24-1.1 Individual plate number: 9649 Г First plate in the “Tale of the Snow Maiden” collector series. The reverse states that the design preserves the traditional colors of Kholuy miniature painting, uses natural gold, and was issued in a production run limited to a firing period of 195 days.
All four plates are marked on the reverse as art objects not intended for food use, with a warning that precious-metal pigments may be toxic.

The plates are in good vintage pre-owned condition. They show normal minor age-related wear consistent with display and storage. Please review all photos carefully for the exact condition of each plate.
This is an especially attractive grouping because the lot contains three consecutive plates from the early Russian Fairy Tales series — Bradex 60-V25-1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 — plus a separate Kholuy Snow Maiden plate, all with different artists and individual issue numbers.
