Very rare original Packard Twin Six externally threaded hubcap grease cover for wood spoked artillery or solid disc wheels, made of heavy pressed and machined aluminum with black and red painted infill. The Packard was built from 1899 to 1958 in Warren, OH and Detroit, MI. Online research indicates this type of cap was used on the Twin Six V-12 models built from 1916 to 1923 but I do not know exact year, model or application for this example. 4" wide by 1 7/8" high, 2 15/16" male external threads with black spring steel lock ring. Good used condition with no dents, bends or corrosion, does have one small edge scrape, minor scratches, and wrench marks. Clean inside, no cracks or deformation, threads look good. The face with the Packard Motor Car Co. logo emblem insignia nameplate is good with sharp and clear lettering, all original black paint is gone but red center is in place. Very hard to find, great for your collection, use as is on driver, or a perfect core for easy restoration. FREE SHIPPING for U.S. buyers only, International shipping cost will vary based on location. NO RESERVE. Please see our other auctions for more hubcaps and collectible automobilia.
