The be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 6 is a high-end CPU air cooler for heavily overclocked systems and demanding workstations that need both extreme cooling power and virtually silent operation. Its dual-mode design lets you switch between active performance cooling and semi-passive quiet mode, where the fans stop entirely below 40% PWM for completely silent running. Built around seven copper heat pipes and custom-designed Silent Wings fans, it handles up to 300W TDP while keeping noise levels between 7.5 and 32.4 dB(A).

Why This Product

• Dual-mode operation: performance or silent — A hardware switch toggles between active cooling mode for maximum performance and semi-passive mode where fans stop completely below 40% PWM, letting you choose quiet or cool depending on your workload.
• Seven high-performance copper heat pipes — Dual-material construction—copper heat pipes and aluminium fins—delivers immensely high cooling power for heavily overclocked CPUs and sustained workstation loads.
• Virtually inaudible Silent Wings fans — Custom 120mm and 135mm PWM fans use advanced fluid-dynamic bearings, 6-pole motors and optimized blades to deliver perfect airflow at up to 2000 RPM while staying nearly silent.
• Wide socket compatibility — Supports Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, LGA1155, LGA1151, LGA1150 and AMD AM5, AM4 with pre-installed mounting bridge for quick installation.
• Generous clearance for tall RAM and VRM coolers — Front fan uses rail system mounting with generous heat sink cut-outs, so it does not interfere with high-profile memory or voltage regulator module coolers.

Best For / Trade-offs

Best for:

• Overclocked CPUs and sustained high-performance workstations
• Builders who want silent operation without liquid cooling
• Systems with tall RAM modules or tall VRM coolers
• Users who value flexibility: switch between silent and maximum cooling modes

Trade-offs:

• Compact cases: Dimensions are 147 × 140 × 169 mm, which exceeds the space available in many small-form-factor builds.
• Budget-conscious builds: This is a high-end cooler positioned for enthusiasts; lower-cost alternatives exist for standard workloads.
• CPUs above 300W TDP: Rated for 300W maximum; larger processors may exceed its thermal capacity.
• Builders who dislike manual mode-switching: Dual-mode operation requires a hardware switch; automatic thermal throttling is not available.

Description

Dark Rock Pro 6 offers extremely high cooling performance and virtually inaudible operation. Excellent for heavily overclocked systems and demanding workstations.

Dark Rock Pro 6 raises the bar for silent cooling. Its mode switch lets you choose either active performance mode for advanced cooling power or semi-passive quiet mode, keeping the fan off below 40% PWM. Both modes ensure quiet and reliable performance in any workload.

Dark Rock Pro 6 features 7 optimized high-performance copper heat pipes, an optimized heat sink and specially refined fans. As a result, this high-end cooler keeps your CPU at peak performance at all times, even in heavily overclocked systems and demanding workstations.

For extremely high performance and virtually inaudible operation — the custom-designed Silent Wings 135mm PWM and 120mm PWM fans use advanced fluid-dynamic bearings, 6-pole motors and optimized blades. Thanks to tight tip clearance, they boost air pressure and improve the airflow.

Thanks to its convenient pre-installed mounting bridge and a firm yet gentle fixing method, cooler attachment is a breeze.

Dark Rock Pro 6 does not compromise when it comes to style. Custom-designed fans, side covers and a top cover that masks the heat pipe ends create the sleek, clean signature be quiet! design for Dark Rock CPU air coolers.
