A lovely vintage Tissot Seastar Automatic, powered by the Swiss-made Tissot calibre 784-2 automatic movement.
The watch has recently undergone a full mechanical service, including complete strip-down, cleaning, reassembly, lubrication and regulation. A new mainspring was fitted during the service.
It is running very nicely for a vintage mechanical watch, currently within approximately 15 seconds per day, with good amplitude and a minimal beat error of approximately 0.5 ms.
The stainless-steel case is in nice vintage condition and has been gently polished to improve its appearance while retaining its original shape and character. As expected for a vintage watch, there are still some age-related marks and signs of previous use.
The original-style silver dial presents very well, with applied hour markers, Tissot branding, Seastar script and date window at 3 o’clock. There are some small age-related marks to the dial which can be seen clearly in the photographs.
The acrylic crystal is in good condition, and the watch has been fitted with a brand-new black leather rally-style strap, which suits the period beautifully.

This is a genuine vintage watch rather than a modern restoration to “as new” condition, so please study the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description. The watch presents very nicely on the wrist and is ready to wear.
