*Up for sale here is a good looking and sparkling clean light amethyst (clear glass) pint handblown crown top beer bottle, from the McKean County city of Bradford, Pennsylvania. Which is situated close to the border of New York state. The Bradford Brewing Company began business in 1899 and closed down in 1914, due to bankruptcy. The brewery operation was located at the end of Fourth Street, near the Erie Railroad tracks. This pre pro beer is in very near mint shape, and the old lightly sun colored purpled glass is sparkling clean. Bottle has seen barely any wear, which is non detracting. This antique example has no checks, chips, pings or dings. Please see the pictures, as they tell the best story. Bottle displays beautifully and would date from about 1905 to 1912.

*It is crisply embossed, as it reads within a round slug plate ~ "BRADFORD BREWING CO. / BRADFORD, PA. / REGISTERED". The base is plain and bottle has no glass house initials. This handsome looking pre prohibition era crown top beer measures 9 5/8 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. A wonderful piece of pre prohibition beer brewing history from the state of Pennsylvania, which you will be quite pleased with. And thanks for looking.
