THINKCAR Thinkscan 689BT automotive scan tool also features the advanced E1CU CODING that most aftermarket obd2 scanner diagnostic tools do not support. You can address the following issues:
- Match Settings after Replacement – After replacing the ECU/module, you need to match, learn, code, or even program the replacement before it functions normally. Otherwise, the car cannot start or some parts cannot work normally.
- Open/Close Car Functions (Personalization, Flash Hidden Functions) – With this car scanner diagnostic for all cars, you can access and modify certain hidden or advanced settings in a vehicle to make your general model a deluxe car.
- Using Scenario – Model: Ford Focus. Operation: you can modify some of original car features, such as how long the interior light stays on after you close the door, or whether the horn honks when you use your remote lo-cks.
- More Applications – Revised fu-el consumption calculation, seat belt alarm, automatic start/stop, hidden menu, daytime running lights, cruise control, automatic loc-king and unlo-cking of the central lo-ck, comfortable windscreen washer, welcome light and others.
- Restore Functions if Data Loss – By restoring the current car settings back to the default status, to fix complex ECU-controlled issues including low fu-el efficiency, mysterious power loss, unknown fault in mechanical parts, etc.
- Modifications/Changeover – Make personalized modifications to your car's per-formance, appearance, or both. It offers a wide range of popular modification options, including converting halogen to xenon headlights, altering tire size, automating manual electric control systems, upgrading steering gear, and more.
- Aftermarket Installation – Add new auto parts into an older vehicle to outfit it with some modern luxuries. For example: help add retrofit TPMS kits to older or non-TPMS-equipped vehicles.
- Programmable Module Installation (PMI) – Mainly for For-d models. Make adaptive procedures for new ECU modules after replacement to ensure their normal functionalities.
Bi-directional/Active Tests: Get Easy Troubleshooting, No Hassle Work
THINKCAR Thinkscan 689BT is a full bidirectional scan tool. By operating this Thinkcar scanner directly to send commands, you can test individual components for faults without using the vehicle’s own controls. This is great for identifying malfunctioning sensors, valves, and components. Quick and precise. 3X faster than testing manually.
Also Refer As – Functional Tests, Actuator Tests, Inspection Tests, System Tests or the like. Reinitialization and repr0gramming can be included in the list of bidirectional controls.
Who Is It For? – A must for any auto professional, whether you own a service or repair shop or are a DIY car enthusiast. An accurate and fast bi-directional diagnostic scan tool for all vehicles is designed to smooth your workflow.
Benefits – can significantly reduce the diagnostic effort and easily see if the issue is happening in the controls or within the vehicle system. Complete Coverage – can active 99% vehicle-specific systems, subsystems, and components such as relays, coils, injectors, and actuators like “Adaptive Headlamp Adjustment, A/C Configuration, Window Wipers Settings, Doors Turn On/Off, Sunroof Switch On/Off, Mirrors Folding/Unfolding, Active Tests on Interior Lights, Inside Mirrors, Door Lo-cking, Steering Wheel Heating, Windows, Horn, ABS Pump Motor, Cooling Fan, Relays, etc.” Using Scenario – Model: T-oyota Prius. Problem: The fan that cools the hybrid battery isn’t working. Testing Procedure: Using this scanner for car to command the fan to turn on. After turning the fan on, if the scan tool shows the fan speed is 0 RPM, it means that despite having power the fan cannot get turning at all. This helped you diagnose some corroded fan wiring quickly without tearing the vehicle apart, saving much effort and time. More Applications – Injector Buzz Test, Oil Pressure Control Test
Cooling Fan Test, Window/Wiper/Sunroof/Door L-ock/Headlamp Test, Interior Lighting Test
EVAP Tests: EVAP Purge/Seal HVAC Calibration, Vehicle Level Position Calibration, Modulate Throttle
Cycling A/C Clutch Relay, Cycling ABS Motor Pump, Cycling
