Vintage Wedgwood Black Jasperware cameo ring set in solid sterling silver.

This piece features a striking black and white Neoclassical motif that stands out dramatically compared to the more common blue Jasperware varieties, making it a fantastic addition to any vintage jewellery collection.

The Cameo Features a crisp, white bas-relief depiction of Diana the Huntress (the Roman goddess of the wilderness and the hunt) alongside her sacred stag.

In Roman mythology, Diana the Huntress is the goddess of the hunt, wild animals, woodlands, nature and the moon

Heavily identified with the Greek goddess Artemis, she is celebrated as a fiercely independent maiden goddess. Dressed in a short tunic, armed with a golden bow and quiver, and accompanied by hunting hounds or stags, Diana represents the untamed power and purity of nature.

The oval porcelain plaque is encased in a classic sterling silver mount accented with a delicate beaded border edge.

Authentically made in Staffordshire, England by the iconic British pottery house, Wedgwood and signed E.C on the back by the specific maker.

Made from 925 Sterling Silver with full UK Hallmarks.
