This listing is for a vintage pocket knife: Vintage Richards of Sheffield Multi-Blade Camper & Sportsman Pocket Knife with Scissors.
This highly functional mid-century pocket tool boasts a rich multi-layered assembly featuring spring-loaded scissors, a corkscrew, and dual utility blades wrapped in Richards' classic faux-stag wavy jigged scales with a solid brass lanyard bail. This is a unique small knife with several tools.
The knife was made in England by Richards of Sheffield. The handle appears to be made from shell metal scales with a jigged celluloid/plastics wrap and the blade and metal parts from carbon steel. The knife's main pen blade is approx. 5.2 cm (overall closed length is approx. 8.5 cm excluding the lanyard ring). The knife appears to be from approx. 1960s.
The condition of the knife is in good vintage condition. There is signs of age and use. The knife may need sharpening, cleaning and oiling. All folding layers open cleanly, and the delicate scissor spring mechanism remains intact. The metal components show some minor surface carbon spots and age-appropriate pocket wear, but the textured handle covers remain securely attached with bright color depth.
These knifes could be used but are more intended for collectors. I've done me best to identify and describe the details of the knife. The photos are the best description, as this is the item you will receive.
