This listing is for a vintage pocket knife: Vintage WWII Era All-Steel 3-Piece Military Clasp Pocket Knife with Broad Arrow Mark & Marlinspike.
This rugged, historically significant piece of service gear features a bombproof all-steel frame outfitted with a specialized marine rigging marlinspike, can opener, and heavy rope-cutting blade, proudly displaying the official government Broad Arrow property mark stamped into the steel.
The knife was made in United Kingdom by Military Ordnance Contractor (WE / Sheffield). The handle appears to be made from brushed solid steel frames and the blade and metal parts from high-carbon steel. The knife's main blade is approx. 6.5 cm (overall closed length is approx. 9.5 cm, excluding the copper lanyard shackle). The knife appears to be from approx. 1940s–1950s.
The condition of the knife is in good rugged vintage condition. There is signs of age and use. The knife may need sharpening, cleaning and oiling. The heavy-gauge steel frame has a beautiful authentic grey storage patina and honest historical pocket scuffs with zero structural integrity breakdown. All three components pivot firmly against the heavy back-springs, and the copper lanyard bail remains securely attached at the rear.
These knifes could be used but are more intended for collectors. I've done me best to identify and describe the details of the knife. The photos are the best description, as this is the item you will receive.
