This unique Sheffield pocket artifact showcases classic carbon steel master blades alongside a clean, professional historic restoration featuring custom hand-shaped blonde wood handle covers pinned seamlessly over the original brass liners.
The knife was made in United Kingdom by Christopher Johnson & Co. The handle appears to be made from custom replacement blonde timber (likely boxwood or native wood) and the blade and metal parts from high-carbon steel. The knife's main blade is approx. 4.8 cm (overall closed length is approx. 8.0 cm). The knife appears to be from approx. Late 19th to Early 20th Century (Circa 1890s–1920s).
The condition of the knife is in fair to good restored condition. There is signs of age and use. The knife may need sharpening, cleaning and oiling. The blades show standard historical carbon spotting, age patina, and past sharpening draw reduction, though the tang stamps remain legible. The custom wooden side panels are smoothly sanded and firmly pinned with no splitting, and the brass liners display beautifully clean internal presentation layers.
