This listing is for a vintage pocket knife: Vintage Unbranded Shadow-Pattern Single-Blade Folding Penknife with Restored Wood Handles.
This minimalist utility folder highlights a classic shadow-pattern design layout, utilizing newly fitted, beautifully lacquered smooth wood handle scales custom-pinned flush to the frames for an ultra-clean look and a comfortable grip.
The knife was made in France by an unknown maker (unmarked). The handle appears to be made from restored smooth timber (varnished hardwood) and the blade and metal parts from carbon steel. The knife's main blade is approx. 6.5 cm (overall closed length is approx. 8.5 cm, opening to roughly 15.0 cm). The knife appears to be from approx. 1950s–1970s.
The condition of the knife is in good restored condition. There is signs of age and use. The knife may need sharpening, cleaning and oiling. The vintage carbon steel blade features common minor storage spotting and superficial patina tracking near the base, while the hand-finished timber handle scales are completely pristine, showing a rich golden hue with zero cracks or handle pin wobble.
These knifes could be used but are more intended for collectors. I've done me best to identify and describe the details of the knife. The photos are the best description, as this is the item you will receive.
I have many more pocket / pen knifes for sale. These are from a deceased estate, from a collector. Please check out my other listings. International buyers are most welcome - please see shipping details below.
