Condition notes:
Effectively perfect. Sharp corners that are not bumped. Appears unread with square and tight spine. The only noted defect is a few age spots on the spine. Even the slipcase is pristine!

Quarto. Two Volumes. 129 pages. 44 plates. Housed in a gray slipcase. Volume One is quarter-bound in red morocco leather, with gilt lettering to spine and buckram boards. Volume Two is a portfolio of 44 unbound plates in a paper folder.

The Annotated Snark by Martin Gardner (poem and annotations, by the author of The Annotated Alice)
The Designs for the Snark by Charles Mitchell (a long essay about the the plates)
The Listing of the Snark by Selwyn H. Goodacre (a catalogue of the published editions of The Hunting of the Snark)
Also includes the publisher's original laid-in six-page announcement brochure, featuring a printed faux-spine border (or mock quarter-binding) designed to visually complement the binding of the book.
