Barrels & Finish: Excellent vintage condition. The brushed gold finish remains uniform with very light, minor surface handling marks consistent with age. No major dents, deep gouges, or severe finish loss observed.
Imprints / Graphics: The black cursive "Universal Studios®" logo script is fully intact, sharp, and legible on both pieces without rub-off or flaking.
Clips & Hardware: The polished gold-tone pocket clips and nose cones show minimal micro-scratching; the stamped "New Yorker" lettering is clean and distinct. Clips sit flush and straight against the caps.
Mechanisms / Functionality: Lead extends from the mechanical pencil tip.
Ballpoint tip extends properly; vintage ballpoint ink cartridges may be dried out from age and require a modern refill to write.
Case & Packaging
Clear Acrylic Lid: Fully intact with no structural cracks or broken corners. Shows typical light shelf scuffs/hazing from storage.
Inner Display Tray: Clean cream/white and gold-bordered tray with intact "Scripto / Everglide" logo plaque. The two black elastic retention loops are present to hold both instruments securely.
Base & Labels: The black plastic base is sturdy and free of cracks. An original yellow price/inventory sticker (180043 / $6.95) wraps around the bottom front edge and shows edge wear, creasing, and minor adhesive residue/surface lift on the underside.
