Stefan Gorski (1932–2008) was a Polish-born artist, painter, and ceramic sculptor
Born in Poland near Gdańsk, he studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Sopot (now the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk). He traveled to England in 1962, exhibiting his work in London and at the Nottingham Castle Museum, where he eventually settled. Due to the Iron Curtain, he could not return to Poland until 1988. In 1977, he moved permanently to Ireland. He continued his work in painting and distinctive studio pottery and ceramics, often featuring stylized figures, animals, and human pairs. His paintings and sculptures are held in numerous private collections and museums internationally, including pieces cataloged by Art UK from Nottingham City Museums & Galleries.
