This jug is very heavy and solid, more of a sculpture than a usable jug. I have listed it as a Duke of Wellington Jug but could well be someone else, political or military. 19th C. Even possibly French? The stoneware and mat salt glaze and colour is not typically English.

There are a few firing cracks which are not noticeable, caused by the thickness of the clay and shrinkage. Possibly a one off.
