Vintage Rex Cole Model 5-A Mystery Clock – Bakelite Base

Wonderful and unusual vintage Rex Cole electric mystery clock featuring a transparent dial with floating-style hands, chrome-tone surround and substantial dark brown Bakelite base.

This is a very substantial, heavy clock with an impressive Art Deco/Machine Age appearance. It displays beautifully and would make an excellent restoration project for a collector of vintage clocks, mystery clocks, Bakelite or early electric timepieces.

This clock is NONWORKING and is being sold strictly FOR PARTS OR REPAIR.

When recently plugged in, the clock did not operate and caused the electrical circuit/outlet to trip.

For safety, the clock should NOT be plugged in again until it has been inspected and repaired by someone qualified to work on vintage electrical clocks.

Cosmetically, it presents very nicely for its age. Please examine all photographs carefully for condition, age-related wear and details. The underside manufacturer's plate shows some oxidation/age marks.
