Rickenbacker 480 – Fire glow – 1973

I have for sale my Ricky 480 that's 50+ years old  In good condition for the year but could obviously do with a slight 'fettle' if going to use the thing as it was intended! All the switches/knobs working as they should.

It's rare to see these things for sale. It is NOT the slant fret model. I would class the sound out of this as pure Rick, their pickups do not give the depth that a Gibson would but please bear this in mind! Saying that a decent set of pedals could get you near Kasabian??

I'M AFRAID THAT I WILL NOT BE PACKING THIS UP FOR A COURIER SO IT'S A COLLECTION FROM OXFORDSHIRE ONLY. Genuine reason for sale, need to thin out the collection 07540939959

Description from seller when I bought it:

Vintage USA 480 Rickenbacker 480, a rare guitar only produced in relatively small numbers between 1973 and 1984. This beautiful example is finished in classic Fireglo, and the model has recently risen further in popularity due to its association with Kasabian guitarist Sergio Pizorno.

It's in very good terms of condition for its age with just minor wear and blemishes -  The frets are in very good condition with just minor wear, and everything works as it should.

It features a Maple body, 24 3/4-inch scale length, comfortable bolt on Maple neck with C to D profile and Rosewood fingerboard with 20.00" radius, trapeze tailpiece and chrome hardware. It has 2x high-gain pickups, three-way pickup selector switch, and volume and tone controls for each pickup.
