Very good pre-owned condition.

The black cloth-covered boards are clean with bright gilt lettering to the spine. The pages are clean and the binding remains firm and secure.

The dust jacket has light shelf and edge wear, including minor marks and slight rubbing around the extremities.

Signed and personally inscribed by co-author Ian Fletcher on the title page: “To Bill, with best wishes”, dated 4 October 2004.

The book focuses particularly on the siege of Sevastopol and covers the major battles of the Alma, Balaclava, Inkerman and the Chernaya. It also examines the Charge of the Light Brigade, the defence of Sevastopol, the harsh winter of 1854–55 and the final Allied assaults.
