This item is
Vintage Japanese kokeshi doll collection consisting of 8 wooden dolls.
These dolls are hand carved and hand painted in traditional Naruko style with beautiful floral patterns and classic kokeshi expressions. Several dolls have handwritten signatures from the artisan.
Kokeshi dolls originated in the Tohoku region of northern Japan and are highly collectible traditional folk art.
All pieces show natural age and patina consistent with vintage handmade wooden dolls.A charming vintage Japanese folk art collection and a beautiful display set.
