EPA-B500
The EPA-B500 is an arm base to which an arm unit can be attached.

The EPA-B500 uses a structure that allows arm units to be interchangeable, while employing a unique gimbal suspension bearing structure that is used in Technic Tone Arms.
The gimbal suspension system is a four-point support system using high-precision pivots and ball bearings, and the axial centers of the horizontal and vertical rotation axes intersect at a single point to achieve a high initial sensitivity of 7 mg or less for both horizontal and vertical rotation.
The bearing is supported by a precision zinc die-cast base to thoroughly suppress external vibration. Furthermore, a reliable sliding connector is used for the arm unit and arm base to achieve a self-cleaning effect when replacing the unit.

An arm height adjustment mechanism with a 12-way helicoid is provided for highly accurate arm height adjustment.

The output cord has low DC resistance of 39.5mΩ/m and low capacitance (41.5pF/m) for excellent transmission characteristics.

EPA-A501H
The EPA-A501H is an arm unit for high compliance cartridges.

This arm unit inherits the functions of the EPA-100 and uses a unique dynamic damping mechanism for the balance weight, which improves the low-frequency resonance sharpness of the arm unit by more than 6dB compared to a normal arm. Furthermore, unlike the oil dump damping system, the damping characteristics below the low-frequency resonance frequency are improved without increasing the mechanical impedance of the low-frequency range. This dramatically reduces resonance peaks and improves low-frequency characteristics by selecting an arm unit that matches the cartridge.

Titanium nitride (TiN), a lightweight and strong titanium that has been specially nitrided to increase rigidity, is used as the pipe material for the arm unit. This eliminates partial resonance of the tone arm, and the ideal distribution of mechanical strength reduces weight by 85% compared to conventional aluminum pipes, while achieving mechanical strength 1.6 times greater.
