Rolex 6564 oyster chronometer 1956 Explorer dial, cal 1030, serviced

This Rolex was stored unused in a dark drawer for over 60 years. It belonged to an office building landlord. His son sold the watch to us in 2018. Serviced in 2019 by Rolex expert Oscar Luna, running perfectly.

Model 6564 from 1956, Explorer style dial, waffle finish, marked “Swiss,” Calibre 1030 34mm, arrow markers on 3-6-9 dial, arrow markers. Rolex 12 “Top Hat” crystal, original 1956 crystal included. Blued steel center seconds hand. Rolex Oyster Perpetual Officially Certified Chronometer with screw down crown.

Nickel movement, 25 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. Stainless steel Oyster case with screw-down crown and caseback. Polished chamfered bezel. Reference inside caseback and between lugs. Case, dial, movement and crown signed. Dauphine hands.

Note that original Tropic 12 has rounded profile (included in purchase). Rolex replacement Tropic 12 on watch is Top Hat style. Crystal is acrylic. Radium lume plots and hands. Unpolished.
