CITROEN C15D ROMAHOME HI-TOP Campervan. Spares or Repair. Project Vehicle.

I recently acquired this Romahome from an elderly lady who hadn't used it since lockdown.

Whilst it is in generally good running order it does now need an Mot before using it but will make a lovely campervan if you do a little bit of work to it.

It is generally fairly solid but has 3 or 4 fairly small patches underneath that ideally need welding although I am sure that some bodgers would just fibreglass these and give it a heavy coat of underseal to hide the repair!

It also needs the exhaust resonator on the manifold replacing (or patching temporarily) but there is one included in the sale that just needs bolting on. Otherwise the exhaust seems quite good.

It drives quite nicely and the steering and suspension all seems to be quite good and although the anti-rollbar bushes are a bit a rattly they may well still pass an Mot.

Engine and gearbox seem very good as always but then again it has only has 125,000miles on the clock which is nothing for these vans.

Interior wise this is a very tidy and cosy camper but could do with a clean. There is a leisure battery fitted, together with a fridge, sink with water tank and cooker hob and grill and even a frying pan although none of these have been checked. There is even the ingenious Romahome wardrobe and underbench lockers together with the clever pelmet storage trays. These really are a cleverly designed camper!

There doesn't appear to be any major issues with this vehicle but I cannot afford to spend the time on it that it needs and anyway I already have a C15 Romahome (Brilliant Vans!)

Priced sensibly for a quick sale, it is probably worth the asking price even to break it and put the Romahome body on a newer van if you can find one.
