70's Zuni gold lipped mother of pearl bear fetish with inlaid jet eyes carved by Bernard Homer Jr. (d) 

Bernard Homer Jr. is the grandson of master carver of Zuni Pueblo, Leekya Deyuse (d)
His mother and father, Alice Leekya Homer and Bernard Homer Sr. (both d.) taught Bernard to carve.
Bernard Jr. took up carving full time in 1966.

Beautiful mop bear with double arrow point of shell and turquoise...very smooth finish as Bernard was known for.

An exceptional early carving to add to any fine Zuni fetish collection.
