What is a Silver Strike?
A Silver Strike is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine and is in a protective plastic holder.  People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens.  The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992.  The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of $2, $3, $7, $10, $20, $28, $40, $200 and $300.  The most common denomination is $10. 


About the Palms:
The Palms Casino Resort opened in 2001 in Las Vegas, founded by the Maloof family and quickly gained fame for its trendy nightlife and celebrity appeal. It became known for its luxurious suites, including the iconic Hardwood Suite and Sky Villas, and for hosting MTV events like the Real World: Las Vegas. In 2016, the resort was sold to Station Casinos, which invested heavily in renovations. After temporarily closing during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Palms reopened in 2022 under new ownership by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, becoming the first Las Vegas resort fully owned and operated by a Native American tribe.

Fun Facts about the Palms Casino:
  • It has a basketball court suite – The famous Hardwood Suite includes a half basketball court inside the hotel room, complete with a scoreboard, locker room, and even a professional hoop.
  • The Real World lived there – MTV’s Real World: Las Vegas was filmed in a custom-built suite at the Palms in 2002, and fans can still book a remodeled version of that suite today.
  • Ghostbar isn't haunted—but it sounds like it – Despite the spooky name, Ghostbar is a sleek rooftop lounge known for its incredible Strip views and a glass-bottomed deck that gives you a thrill as you look 55 floors down.
  • It once featured a Playboy Club – The Palms hosted the first official Playboy Club to open in 25 years, complete with classic Bunny costumes and vintage vibes, operating from 2006 to 2012.  Hugh Hefner celebrated his 85th birthday at the club.
  • You could get a tattoo at the casino – At one point, there was an in-house Hart & Huntington Tattoo Parlor inside the resort, where guests could get inked on a whim after a wild night.
