Original vintage Penney’s Golden Dawn blanket in a lovely soft pink color, preserved folded in its period clear plastic packaging with the original paper product label. A beautiful mid-century bedding piece with wide matching acetate satin binding and decorative ruffled trim.
The original label identifies the blanket as a blend of rayon and nylon with acetate satin binding. It is marked for a twin or double bed and specifies a manufacturer’s size of 72 x 84 inches and weight of 3 pounds. Lot No. 710 / HSE. 745.
Measurements and materials are taken directly from the original Penney’s label. The blanket has not been removed from the packaging or fully unfolded, preserving its new-old-stock presentation.
Condition:
New old stock and appears unused. The visible portions appear exceptionally well preserved, with expected compression and folding from many years in storage. The period plastic packaging is not factory sealed and shows wrinkling, scuffing and other age-related storage wear. The paper label has light handling and age wear.
Because the blanket has not been unfolded, concealed surfaces have not been inspected. No cleaning or laundering has been attempted. Please examine all photographs closely for the visible condition and packaging details.
