Obverse with semi-draped female anointing the male personification of Skill and female Invention, reverse with oak and olive wreath, legend around. Engraved within wreath 'Brooklands Meeting - 29 July 1911 - Won By A.R. Hunter & Passenger Zenith - A Member In Winning Team In A.C.U. Inter-Club Team Race'.
Toned Extremely Fine and accompanied by the bottom half of the original John Pinches fitted case of issue. All versions of this medal are rare but silver examples are extremely rare. A wonderful and very substantial medal.
Von Herkomer's Motoring of 1906, together with this medal he executed for the Royal Automobile and Associated Clubs, are believed to be his only two medallic works.
