Midwinter Stylecraft Cannes Hors d'oeuvres Serving Dish Plate Tray

Here we have a wonderful vintage Midwinter Pottery "Cannes" divided serving dish. This highly collectible piece of British mid-century ceramic history was designed by the celebrated architect Sir Hugh Casson around 1953-1954 and manufactured in Staffordshire, England.

Description

The dish features three separate wells (perfect for crudités, tapas, or nibbles) finished with its iconic, vibrant turquoise-blue border painted sections. The center of each compartment features Casson’s whimsical, hand-drawn style line sketches capturing romanticized street and market scenes from the French Riviera.

A beautiful, iconic design classic from the "Stylecraft" range that makes a perfect functional serving piece or display item for retro kitchenware collectors.

Condition

Excellent Vintage Condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. There is no crazing to the glaze. The graphics are crisp, and the turquoise paint remains bright and vibrant.
