Up for sale is a rare, authentic 1960s Tradition Ref. 7723 mechanical chronograph. Highly sought after, aka "Poor Man's Carrera," this watch was produced directly by Heuer on the same production lines as their legendary early Carrera models. It shares the identical case styling, famous faceted down-turned lugs, matchstick hands, and unmistakable mid-century racing aesthetic.

This piece is a true, untouched field find being offered in completely original condition. We have deliberately chosen not to polish the stainless steel case or alter the components, preserving the sharp metal edges, crisp profiles, and historical value that vintage purists look for.

• Movement Condition: Verified working condition. The mechanical timekeeping runs smoothly and movement functions properly. A video demonstration of the movement working is included in the listing gallery.

• Dial & Hands: Gorgeous original dial displaying genuine vintage patina. Matchstick hands and hour markers are crisp and completely unmolested.

• Crystal Condition: Original domed acrylic crystal shows honest wear and fine hairline scratches consistent with age. Please note there is a minor mark near the 12 o'clock position that appears to be either a heavy surface scratch or a minor hairline crack under close magnification. It has been left original to preserve authenticity.

• Case & Back: Clean stainless steel displaying minor age-appropriate wear. Lugs remain unpolished and remarkably sharp. Screw-down caseback shows clear "Stainless Steel / Shock Absorbing / Water Resistant" stamps.

• Strap & Bars: The sale includes the removed black leather strap, which is in marginal condition showing heavy wear, as well as the two original curved stainless steel spring bars.
