A vintage 1980s desktop thermal transfer printer — note this is not a dot matrix printer, despite superficial similarities to other printers of the era.

Used, good condition, untested — not tested by the seller, sold as seen. No power supply and no manual are included. Box shows wear with torn corners and edge damage. Printer has yellowing/discolouration to the plastic casing plus minor dust and surface marks — typical age-related yellowing for 1980s ABS plastic. Ribbon cartridges included; their condition is as seen only.

WHAT IS INCLUDED: the Brother HR-5 printer, its original box, and TWO ribbon cartridges.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED: there is no power supply and no manual. Please factor that in - you will need to source a suitable adaptor before you can use this.

NOT TESTED: because I have no power supply for it, I have not been able to power it up and cannot confirm whether it works. It is sold as untested on that basis. I am not aware of any fault, but I have not verified anything.

THE RIBBONS: two cassette ribbon cartridges are included. Thermal transfer ribbons for this machine are long out of production.

CONDITION: the box is worn with torn corners and edge damage. The printer itself has the yellowing to the plastic that these almost always have by now, plus light dust and surface marks. The box and the printer are described separately above - please judge each from the photos.
