A primary ingredient of native herbal ceramony mixes. This is often mixed with red willow barkto make a ritual herb mix. Sometimes osha is added. Note that there are a number of plants often referred to as "bearberry." This is one species.
Native Americans used bearberry tea for inflammation of the urinary tract, urethritis, kidney stones, and cystitis. The Cheyenne use the tea to help with back sprains. Some Native American tribes powder the leaves and apply them to sores. Other tribes drink it to treat venereal diseases. The berries are also made into a tea that is used to ward off obesity.
Be sure to do your own research on the use of bearberry!
Since the dawn of times plants have been our sacred connection to our mother earth. Plants feed, cure, and shelter us; and legends abound of the power of chosen plants to heal and protect the wise. Native traditions relate that wherever sage and cedar are used, no evil influences may enter.
To “smudge” is to purify with certain sacred herbs. The sacred ritual of purifying comes from native peoples in both North and South America. In North America the smudging is created by sacred h aromatherapy with herbs such as sage, cedar, sweet grass and juniper. Combined smudging may be used to purify the body, spirit, pet, home, office and healing rooms, any space or item in your world.
This smudge stick is 100% natural aromatic botanicals. The herbs were gathered in an ecologically sound and respectful way. The plants are not harmed and nothing is wasted. These bundles are made for you as tools of empowerment! Enjoy!
