Antique French Saglier Frères Silver Plated Oyster Forks,
Art Nouveau, Ginkgo Pattern
These six exquisite antique French silver plate oyster forks are beautifully designed in a handsome Art Nouveau style in a pattern of Ginkgo leaves and fruits.
Each piece bears the maker’s mark of Saglier Frères. Eugène and André Saglier, master silversmiths in Paris, were brothers who took over the business of their father, Victor Saglier, in the late 19th century. The maker’s mark consists of the letters “S” and “F” surrounding the image of a star placed above three other stars. There is a second mark with the number “18” indicating the silver content in grams for twelve pieces.
This set is in excellent condition, with the exception of faint scratches due to normal use and age. This very stylish set will be a prestigious addition to your table setting or your collection. Please refer to the detailed photos on this page.
