I purchased this item from an exceptionally clean estate sale where the lady of the house had been an avid crafter and sewed many items. The white on this sheep feels to be real wool. I had one as a child and it has the same feeling. However, that is just my guess, I do not guarantee wool. Item is clean, no tares and has no odor to ME. It is a snuggly vintage piece or great display. It is large.

The item shown in the image is a vintage handmade standing plush sheep, closely sharing characteristics with folk art and nursery decor patterns popular throughout the 1980s & 1990s. I believe this is sewn using the Simplicity #7418 Stuffed Sheep from 1986. These distinct jumbo-sized stuffed animals feature a fuzzy white sherpa or faux-wool fleece body paired with simple solid fabric details for the black or dark brown face and legs. They were commonly handcrafted at home using classic hobbyist sewing patterns from companies like Simplicity.
