This copy with a note tipped in to title page facing, signed and inscribed by the author in what appears to be the year of publication, 1873, the note on the author’s stationery with his Swinford House, Ashford, Kent embossed stamp to head. 8pp ads to rear. A good copy. Externally, slight marks and stains, the corners and tips gently bumped. The binding fairly tight and square with some over-opening, exposed slightly at p. 32, for instance. But holding well. Light marks within, as to be expected, but a pleasing copy, uncommon in the first edition and scarce with the author’s signature.
