A Watson-brand Les Paul model featuring the distinctive gAXE-HEADh design, reminiscent of an axe blade.
This is a vintage model believed to have been made in Japan around the 1970s or 1980s.
It features a Les Paul-style mahogany body and neck, combined with a rosewood fingerboard in a set-neck configuration. It is equipped with two humbucking pickups and a Tun-O-Matic bridge. The color is listed in the catalog as gViolin Sunburst,h and, combined with the binding around the bodyfs perimeter, gives the guitar a classic look.
In 1980s catalogs, this model was introduced as the gWatson Les Paul Modelh featuring the new AXE-HEAD headstock design, with the EL-400V listed at 40,000 yen. As a vintage Watson-brand model that is now rare on the market, its distinctive headstock design?which sets it apart from typical Les Paul copies?is one of its key attractions.
