This beautifully executed Danbury Mint 1:24 scale model captures the extraordinary styling of the 1957 Chrysler New Yorker Sports Coupe in its elegant Sunset Rose and Cloud White two-tone finish. This is an individually numbered Limited Edition #0922 of 5,000, manufactured in 2003. The original Danbury Mint box is also clearly marked with identifying number 1180007000018, providing another useful reference for this particular model.
The 1957 New Yorker was one of Chrysler's most dramatic expressions of the fin era, and its proportions translate beautifully to this large-scale replica. The long, low body, soaring rear fins, expansive chrome trim, whitewall tires and sweeping side treatment give the car tremendous period presence. The contrasting Cloud White roof sets off the Sunset Rose body beautifully, while the extensive brightwork surrounding the grille, bumpers, windows and rear fins gives the model the lavish appearance that defined Chrysler's late-1950s styling.
The detailing continues throughout the car. Both doors open to reveal a finely reproduced two-tone interior with detailed seating, dashboard, instruments, steering wheel and interior trim. The hood opens to expose a fully detailed engine compartment, while the opening trunk reveals the fitted spare tire. The sharply rendered grille, headlight treatment, Chrysler badging, dramatic tail lamps, wheel covers and wide whitewall tires all contribute to a remarkably convincing miniature of one of Chrysler's great Forward Look automobiles.
PACKAGING & CONDITION
VEHICLE: Mint condition. The paint, chrome, trim, glazing, interior and engine compartment are exceptionally clean, with no damage or noteworthy imperfections observed. All opening features operate as shown in the photographs. As with any hand-assembled precision diecast model, there may be additional tiny factory-level finish or assembly variations visible only under extreme close inspection. This is an outstanding display example and presents beautifully from every angle.
BOX: Near Mint original Danbury Mint box with only mild shelf wear, as shown in the photographs. The original molded Styrofoam packaging is included and remains clean and intact. No papers are included.
