Original early Schoenhut painted wooden dollhouse kitchen furniture set dating to approximately 1928-1930.
This five-piece kitchen group includes:
• Icebox / refrigerator cabinet
• Hoosier-style kitchen cabinet
• Kitchen work table
• Two matching chairs
Constructed of painted wood with period nailed/brad construction, simple wooden knobs and an aged cream/ivory finish. The pieces form a particularly appealing and cohesive early dollhouse kitchen group.
Approximate measurements:
• Chairs: 3 1/4” high
• Icebox: 4” high × 2 1/2” wide × 1 1/4” deep
• Table: nearly 3 1/2” long × 2” deep × 2 1/2” high
• Kitchen cabinet: 4 1/4” high × 3 1/4” wide × 1 3/4” deep
Please note that one original table leg is detached but intact and included. The lower icebox door is detached at its bottom attachment point, although it remains in place and still opens and closes.
Original finish shows expected wear from age and use, including scratches, rubbing, marks, small paint losses and visible period nail/brad construction.
Antique pre-owned condition with age-related wear consistent with approximately 95+ years of use and storage.
Other doors, drawer and components should be handled carefully due to age. No restoration has been performed.
A scarce early Schoenhut kitchen group for an antique dollhouse, miniature furniture or Schoenhut collection.
