The ANSI Z41 standard was officially withdrawn and replaced by the newer ASTM F2412 and ASTM F2413 standards. While vintage or older boots with this stamp still provide their original physical protection, new safety boots purchased today for strict workplace OSHA compliance must feature the updated ASTM marking system.
