Pair of 19th Century French Sterling Silver and Cobalt Blue Glass Salt Cellars with Spoons

Offered here is a fine original pair of late 19th-century French open salt cellars, complete with deep cobalt blue glass liners and matching sterling silver spoons.

The sterling silver frames feature openwork cast decoration in the French Rococo Revival style, depicting winged putti holding floral garlands around a central oval medallion, set on small cast feet. The deep blue glass inserts are thick, rich in color, and fit snugly inside the silver mounts.
