Matching pair of traditional hexagonal brass and bevelled-glass hanging ceiling lanterns.
Really attractive, substantial fittings, each with six large clear bevelled-glass side panels plus six further bevelled-glass panels forming the faceted top. The extensive bevelled glass catches the light beautifully and gives the lanterns a particularly decorative appearance.
The metalwork is non-magnetic and consistent with brass rather than steel, with an attractive aged/patinated finish. I have cleaned the glass but deliberately left the metal unpolished to preserve the existing patina.
Both fittings are complete with their matching decorative chains, ceiling roses and electrical fittings. They carry matching SEL1 / M40 2BS labels and have standard screw lamp holders marked MAX 100W.
Dimensions (each): • Lantern body approx. 14cm wide × 32cm high to top hook • Overall ceiling drop approx. 49cm, measured from the back of the ceiling rose to the bottom of the lantern
They are in very good decorative used condition, with natural tarnishing/patination, spotting and minor marks consistent with age and use. The glass presents very well with no obvious significant chips or cracks. Please see the photographs for detailed condition.
These were recently removed from my property during renovation and were previously in use. As they have now been disconnected, they are sold as used electrical fittings and should be checked and installed by a qualified electrician.
