Authentic Antique Japanese Katana Mumei in full polish with nice fitted habaki, no koshirae. Visible mokume hada. Hamon is suguha. Chu kissaki. Polish is good but it has a large rust pit near the blade tip (visible in photos). The yokote and shinogi are crisp and well defined throughout. This is a suriage blade and has two mekugi ana. The level of rust on the nakago, the fact that it is suriage, and the overall slenderness of the blade showing that it has been polished many times altogether imply it is very old, probably older than Edo period.
