Here we have a lovely Dawes Team steel road bike from the mid 1980s. It's built in Reynolds Cr-Mo 500 tubing which is light and responsive and offers great ride quality. The Sachs Huret groupset is in good condition shifting well and the Weinmann brakes with the integrated plastic textured hoods are very good quality and stop well. The paint is generally very good but there are some touch ups between the bottle cage bosses, on the drive side seat stay and around the seat lug. The Solida Dawes branded chainset has original silver dust caps and the Lyotard 136R pedals are in good shape, but are missing a dust cap. The chrome on the 700c rims is excellent, all aluminium parts are very clean and there is a nice set of chromoplastic shorty mudguards. The white Selle Italia Mundialita saddle is nice, but does have a couple of small rips underneath and the handlebar tape is clean and usable. Overall, this is a lovely steel road bike, and it will be perfect for getting in some comfortable training miles or could become a stylish commuter.

We aim to offer a bicycle part that is ready to fit and enjoy, so frequently, disassemble, clean, re-grease and reassemble, to make sure everything is in full working order.

Complete bikes are checked over, and given a service if required, so they are working as they should and any issues will be listed so you the buyer can assess your purchase.

Please be aware that complete bikes will need some assembly once you receive them. The pedals, stem and handlebars will need refitting, along with the seat post, saddle and both wheels. If there are mudguards or racks included these will also need to be put back, but there will be nothing that requires any specialist tools and if you are in doubt, we are happy to advise, help or point in the direction of a local shop.
