The map provides superb detailed vintage cartography of Lewis and Harris, including mountains, lochs, settlements, roads, coastline, islands and grid references.
A particularly interesting piece for Ordnance Survey collectors, vintage map collectors, military ephemera enthusiasts, Scottish history collectors, walkers and anyone interested in the changing landscape of the Outer Hebrides.
The map itself is in very good condition for its age, with clear printing and strong colours. It has been folded as originally intended and shows some light age related handling and fold wear.
The outer cover has handwritten identification from a previous owner, as shown in the photographs. There is no other writing or annotation on the map.
