Beautiful vintage Shiah Yih art glass basket, hand made in Taiwan.

This substantial decorative basket is crafted from rich teal/blue-green glass with a striking molded basket-weave pattern. The thick arched applied glass handle and squared basket form give it wonderful dimension, while the color shifts from deep teal to brighter aqua depending on the light.

The glass retains characteristics of handmade production, including small bubbles and subtle irregularities that add to its character.

Marked “HAND MADE IN TAIWAN” in the glass and also bears the Yih “Y” logo on the base.

Very nice vintage condition. Please review photos closely for condition and details, as they are part of the description. One hairline internal defect near handle is not felt on outside of glass. Fleabite seen at rim.
