MPC Impressions Phantom Edition playing cards, an unusual white-on-white tactile deck from MakePlayingCards.com's innovative Impressions series.

The Phantom Edition was introduced in 2014 during MPC's original Impressions Kickstarter campaign as the white counterpart to the dramatic black Stealth Edition.

What makes the deck particularly unusual is its raised high-gloss UV printing. Much of the artwork is deliberately low contrast against the white card stock, allowing the faces, pips and court-card details to emerge as the cards catch the light. The printing can also be physically felt beneath the fingers, giving the Impressions series its distinctive "touch and feel" character.

MPC developed the Impressions series specifically to demonstrate this specialty printing process while still producing cards that could be handled and played. The cards use linen-finish stock with a black core, while the backs feature MPC's ornate symmetrical tree design.

The deck contains 55 cards: 52 playing cards, 2 Jokers and an MPC promotional card.

This example was originally sealed but has been carefully opened for inspection and photography. The extremely subtle white-on-white appearance is intentional and part of the Phantom Edition design.
